That Crooked Half Smile

That half crooked smile
Oh how I feel
I feel I could climb the tops of mountains
And scream your name
I feel I could live in a box under a bridge and still consider myself
Lucky
I feel I could fall into a rabbit hole and meet a rushed rabbit
Because this feels so unreal
I feel like I could kiss a frog and he wouldn't turn into a prince
Because you're already right here
I feel like I could sprout wings and fly, your lips keeping me

I feel understood for once because

I feel my cheeks cramp from smiling too much and you're

I am found.
Finally.
I know things.
But there are some things that I still would like to know.
Like why the baby sings
And sees spirits.
Why bubbles are iridescent.
Where the boats in Italy are going.
Why the three legged dog can still run.
What Plato meant.
How to make filet mignon.
Why the old man is crying.
Where do the clouds go.
How to make you smile.
That is the most important.
How to make you smile and hear your laughter.
I don't know any good jokes.
Would you smile for me anyway?
Would you do it now?

Deck of Lies"Pick a card, any card"
He said coyly with a smirk
I bit my tongue and smiled
His playing games was but a quirk

"I pick the 2 of truth"
"Alright, well, you have gorgeous eyes"
I blushed and looked away
This game sent me to new highs

"Umm, Jack of fact"
Smiling, he took my hand
Gave me a wink and said
"Your wish is my command"

Maybe a kiss
Even a hug
The thought gave my mind
The slightest tug

I felt light headed,
High as a kite
A newborn bird
Who had just taken flight

"9 of honesty"
"Darling, why?

You know I try"

Don't Listen To A Liar

See her over there, sitting on her own because she's different?

Don't go over to her.

You'll regret it.

See those boys being teased in the hallways because they hold hands?

Don't defend them.

You see that boy at the back of the classroom, the one who came from another place far away?

Don't help him understand.

You see that girl who wears black and is tripped in the hallways?

Don't help her up off the ground.

Love is....Love is when your heart flutters
That first time you see someone
and you feel you've know them forever

Love is bliss
that first kiss that blows you away
and leads to many more

Love is determination
The will to fight any battle
to be with the person you love

Love is forever
creating a life with another
letting your souls join together

You Could Have Told MeYou could have told me the truth,
But instead you decided to lie to me.

Come on I'm not stupid,
I know very well that you were lying.
You're not that hard to figure out.

You could have told me that we were over,
But instead you chose to mess with my emotions.

You shouldn't play with my emotions,
Because I may just lose it.

Just because I was fragile a long time ago,

It can barely be seen with your little eye
But I know in your mind, it burns so bright
It's presence lives in you day and night

As we grow older, it fades to grey
And all the memories made slowly slip away
Don't let that be you, no matter how hard it seems
Never let go of the land of your dreams

LegoLove is a beautiful soul steering thing;
when it happens
when it succeeds and the seed is sown.
But when wasted you can smell
The defeat as it ebbs away.
The dead quiet, complete void of uselessness.
The giving up,
the evaporation of passion,
the finality of something lost
and now leaden.
The ending of something that never was.

Take Me Away to MarsSometimes, when I feel down,
I look at this city sky
trying to see the stars.
The vastness confirms that
no, I don't belong here.
Please, take me away to Mars.

No one there to call my name,
give me unwanted advice,
or try to live my life for me.
I close my eyes, and imagine
the silence, the empty space,
perfect place to be free.

An atmosphere so grey,
we can't trust anyone.
Another planet? It's not that far!
I've already packed my stuff.
Take me away from this big, bad world,
and agree to take me to Mars.

The days so cold,
But we never felt it

Where have our promises gone?
Words whispered
Between lips only atoms away

Where have our memories gone?
Things once cherished
Tossed away, fighting to find their way home

Our souls meet in our dreams

Be happy and gay
You were meant to be that way
They will call you a fag and other names
Just wave your flag proudly
Love knows no gender
I know you are a bender
But I don't care what is behind the locked door
You are more than a label
I was told that labels are for jelly jars
Love between two people is rare
I dare you to be who you are
Love yourself before another
This is the advice I have to give
Do what you have to live
And be free
You will see that it is beautiful
Dance with the posies
Be frilly
Or don't
Be masculine if you are a girl
Hurl back the obscenities
To the ignorant and the blind
You are a human being
I will not judge you for what you are doing
Because I don't even know you
And I love you for who you are
A shining star
A brilliant soul
A creative entity
I see who you are
I see who you want to be
And I know that you just want to be loved
