Hearts beat faster and
My breath shudders with insecurity.
Press my body close to yours
So I don't shatter into fragments.

Lie to me one more time.
Tangle your legs in mine,
Brush your lips along my neck.
Make me feel alive.

SilenceThey say speaking is silver and silence is gold,
In some cases it might be true.
But there is also a truth that goes untold,
Even if it might be quite blue.

Silence is sometimes bad,
Not always so don't get upset.
Some things that are evil can make us go mad,
Some things that are even a threat.

Even if your enemies will make your blood boil,
The silence of your friends will be what hurts you more.
Words might hurt us, but silence can torment us.

LullabyAcross vast fields and oceans blue
Lies the land of what's myth and true
Where thy dreams lived and future foretold
And where thou canst find the memories of old
Where time fails to keep record of every breath
The land everlasting, unaffected by death

My SanityThe matter of my sanity
Is nothing for you to yearn.
Just something for me to know,
And for you to learn.

My mind is cracking,
The flaws becoming apparent.
My soul is shattering...
Splitting me into nothing.

But my bonds...
They hold me together.
They keep me stable...
Under control.

Like a light
In the darkest night,
They lead me to where
I should take residence.

Sheltering my soul,
My mind and my heart
From the evils forces at work...
Saving me from utter destruction.

The strongest of them all.

While I don't let them fall.

PictureThey say a picture speaks a thousand words,
where a word just speaks but one,
so let me paint a picture for you,
before the day is done,
Over the horizon you see,
the trees are going down,
the river seems ablaze,
with fire and ashes all around,
My screams are in the distance,
begging for some help,
my screaming makes no difference,
you smile to watch me melt,
The colors of my painting,
start spilling on the floor,
the heat the flames are creating,
makes the color run some more,
The canvas begins to char,
as my face blackens with suit,
you can here the trees crash to the ground,
if you listen hard,
You close your eyes to breath,
from the painting that you see,
but when you open your eyes again,
the paintings a reality,
Your chest is heavy with smoke,
and I just stand and watch you choke,
I promise this is no joke,
about the painting I'm talking about,
You decide to lay down,
to stop from falling to the ground,
I lay beside you sound,
as the flames lick my night gown,

I'm afraid of failure,
Of disappointing,
Seeing those ashamed looks on their faces,
Because I know I'm not good enough,
I'm afraid, very afraid,

I'm afraid of speaking my mind,
For I know that others will ruthlessly speak theirs,
And I know their words are going to hurt me,
But I won't have the heart to hurt them back,
I'm afraid, very afraid,

I'm afraid of the future,
Because I don't know where I shall be,
Or what I shall do,
I'm still trying to piece my puzzle together,
I'm afraid, very afraid,

I'm afraid of success,
For with this comes jealousy,
And with jealousy comes lust for hurt,

Answer MeQuestions scare people away,
If they scare you away from me,
Then I guess we shouldn't be friends,
I ask to receive answers,
If you can't answer me,
Then find another person,
That likes to deal with rude people,
Unlike me.

Run AwayThere have been so many times,
I have just wanted life to stop.
For me to run away form this life.

You treat me like garbage,
And I don't know how to handle you anymore.
I want out.

If I died young,
Life for you would be the same.

If I died young,
You wouldn't mourn my passing.

If I died young,
You would keep living your life the way it is.

If I died young,
You wouldn't care.

I feel bad for you,
That you're like this.
It's pathetic.

One of the few people that care about you,
You push away,
And could care less.

So if I died young,
You wouldn't notice.

Little GirlYou saw me,
Broken under the tree.
I sat alone,
Trying to be my own person.
Trying to live without a crutch.
But I guess you looked through me,
And saw the broken little girl I am.

I wish you hadn't scooped me up.
I wish you hadn't started caring for me.
I wish I hadn't cared for you.

You saw me cry.
You didn't know how much baggage I carried.
What I had,
You could never deal with.
The baggage I carry,
Needs someone to be around all the time.

I've been neglected.
Ive been lied to.
Ive been left out on the street to fend for myself.
Ive been left to fight other peoples battles.

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug so intense
that it doesn't make sense
a drug you don't easily get
a drug revealing regret

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug I need every day
a drug which makes me pay
a drug allowing my heart to feel
and ignoring things that are real

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug I'm starting to hate
but can't get off it, it's too late
a drug I finally regret taking
a drug which keeps my body heavily shaking

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug causing me immense pain
though it's just so little, simple and plain
a drug I traded for everything I had
a drug which can only be found inside my head

Some scurry through
My cloudy mind
Never to be caught only
Leaving their essence behind
Give me writings to where
People can sometimes find
What I mean

No matter what I do
I can never seem to convey
The emotion of my poem to
A person despite who they are
I even doubt you
Will get just what I mean
When I finish a poem I rue
Make the stupid poem

Are twisting and forming
Into a poem I didn't make
Sometimes I feel like crying
The frustration is so great
I keep writing
Otherwise I'll always
Be just scribbling

FriendFinally I can see
Really see your heart
It is so big and beautiful
Even with all your defects
No one can replace you
Don't ever change

Bitter sweetThe feeling that you can never die
That nothing bad can never happen to any of you
Is nothing but a convenient lie
To defend yourself from the impact of truth

But the truth is and open hearted gentleman
He doesn't like to deceive anyone, you're not an exception
The truth is that there is only a thing to gain
It is the way towards the end of an action

The mind is blind, it ignores and fools
Even the facts essential to know
It defends itself from the pain of the words
And blocks the heart, which becomes cold as a snow

The words that we don't hear, those important ones
Stay within our beings, no matter how fast we run
Those silent whispers

Cancer has no refereeHad I known
To wish this year
I'd have wished
You could stay here.

You locked horns with Cancer
Despite your battle to be free
Glory days turned sad days
Cancer has no referee.

You beautiful woman
Your life taken in vain.
At least your at rest now
No more memories consumed by pain.

My Story of FallingThey caught me off guard,
My façade was down,
There was nothing I could say,
That would change what they thought.

They knew now,
They knew how I felt,
It was plastered on my face,
The sorrow,
Mixed with pure insanity.

It all happened so quickly,
They sent me away,
Hoping I might change,
But they knew,
They knew I wouldn't,
I couldn't.

It was too late,
I had already lost it,
Lost everything.

So I became one of them,
The people I once despised,
I joined them,
I watched as we drained the colour,
Turning everything to our perfection.

I saw more people changed,
Their eyes so dull,
So cold,
Just.

The Quiet

Do you see this body
With etched on lines framing my eyes
When I smile
Or frown
This extra luggage
Around my middle weighing me down
Pounds of flesh
Wide platypus feet
Gray that I try to hide
The windows of my soul are grimy
Teeth that are stained from too many cigarettes
And coffee
Hair that is chopped off short
So that I look like a boy
An eyebrow ring
Tattoos
See me
Not conforming
To a society that is starched white
With pleats
I am woman
I spit at injustice
Hear the voice that I speak
It comes from many years on this earth
I am more than this body
There is no truth to an unkind justice
Do not be blind
Speak from your inner voice
The silence is loud
It is also unassuming
You are at the right place in time
There is only this moment
You and I are more than just a body
We have purpose
And dignity
We can lie awake in the darkness
Counting blessings
It is much better than sheep
We can wake up from this sleep
And be aware
That we are not alone
And loneliness is an adversary
We can fight it
Find solitude in the quiet
